Valsa Kurien is an educationist, philanthropist, an advocate for improving Kerala's access to high-quality healthcare and leads the Muthoot healthcare divisions CSR programme.Mrs Valsa Kurien is on the board of Directors for Muthoot Healthcare and Muthoot Financial Services. She is also the wife of the Muthoot Healthcare Divison Founder, Dr George Kurien Muthoot, MRCP. She is a significant driving force in the day to day operations of the hospitals.
